Management of Microclimate
Air Blowers & Spray Cannons
Lighting alone is not enough. Airflow, temperature and humidity play a critical role in maintaining a healthy and playable pitch—especially in enclosed or shaded stadium environments.
Our air blowers and spray systems work alongside turf lighting rigs to optimise microclimate conditions. They improve airflow, support surface drying and help stabilise temperature and humidity levels, resulting in stronger rooting, reduced disease pressure and consistently high-quality playing surfaces throughout the season.
Microclimate Challenges in Stadiums
Air Blowers and Spray Cannons extend the capabilities of turf lighting systems by actively managing airflow, temperature and humidity across the pitch.
Airflow & Surface Management
Air Blowers
Air blowers are designed to improve air circulation and accelerate surface drying across large turf areas. They are ideal for improving airflow and reducing moisture-related stress on the pitch.
- Throwing distance: 50–60 m
- Vertical angle: -10° to +40°
- Coverage: up to 10,000 m²
- Air cirulation & surface drying
- Easy to move and position

Cooling & Water-Based Turf Support
Spray Cannons
Spray cannons are designed to support temperature control and turf health in warm or high-stress conditions. They provide targeted water distribution for cooling and surface treatment.
- Throwing distance: up to 50 m
- Vertical oscillation: -5° to +40°
- Evaporative cooling effect
- Patented water disinfection system
- Easy to move and position
Stadium Climate in Practice
Air Blowers and Spray Cannons are used alongside lighting systems to actively manage pitch conditions throughout the season.
Use cases:
- Reducing moisture after heavy rain
- Improving airflow across the pitch
- Cooling the pitch during hot conditions
- Supporting turf recovery after matches
- Reducing disease pressure
- Supporting root development and turf resilience
These systems are designed to complement Rhenac lighting rigs as part of a complete turf management ecosystem.
